Aeterna: Rubra Plena is a visual novel otome game about happy romance and dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma. The game does not contain toxic relationship dynamics - all love interests will love you for who you are.
The game is set in the Astrals - the capital of Sectus, a dying land suffering from radioactive pollution - in the world of Thealia. It is a magicpunk themed universe, where electricity is created from a radioactive material found deep underground.
You play as a beautiful young noblewoman dealing with her current and past experiences while finding love.
Norelia (renamable) has been pushed into depression due to her past life. Once a social butterfly, she has lost the will to uphold her previous social life and distances herself from others, seeing them as faceless figures and dolls with strings attached.
That is, until she meets a special someone. She starts to feel emotions she forgot were possible to feel. But her life is about to be turned upside down once again as she is arrested for a crime she did not commit and plunged into the depths of the Astrals, where she now has to fend for herself in a place that despises her very being.

The MC is really gorgeous I feel like wanna date myself lol. The story line is good and all the LIs are unique in their own way. I have a good time playing this demo can't wait for the full release

I'm a little confused on what was happening. From what I understand Noella was arrested in her first life and killed for a crime she didn't commit, and then she regressed to before she was arrested and is now at the point where the guards come in. What I don't understand is the ending of the demo from her first life or second life?
Oh, haha! She never dies!
The first two scenes are when she is arrested. Then it goes back to the day before her arrest and what led up to it.

I'm also a bit confused. Does the ballroom scene occur before she was arrested ? She seemed to be struggling with something then so if it's before she was arrested then she was struggling with something else before being exiled. Is that it ?
Yes, the ballroom scene happens before the arrest! Some might understand her struggle, and some won't, but she has anxiety and panic attacks, and this is visualized by the flickering scene at the ball ^^
I can't wait to see more of this game! The little I played is beautiful! I do have a question as far as getting to the routes: Are those available with the demo, and if so, how does one play them? I was only able to interact with chapter 1 and then sent back to the title screen. Routes now or later, I am excited to see the final product!

Currently, there are three paths to take in the demo: Alone, Alexander, and Koumo.
Two other paths are being worked on right now: Petronilla and Elis. The grayed-out options are connected to their routes and are unavailable until then.
To get on Alexander's path: At the bar - seek help from a stranger.
To get on Koumo's path: At the bar - walk away, and then follow the hooded figure at the market.
You are only able to read chapter 1 in the demo. It ends after you get in the car with the guard, no matter which path you are on.
